Exercise Science Major with Chiropractic Concentration (EXS)
This dual degree program enables students to receive a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Exercise Science with Chiropractic Concentration from Georgetown College, and a Doctor of Chiropractic from Campbellsville University. Students complete their foundational coursework at Georgetown College in 6 semesters. From there, students attend Campbellsville University for 10 trimesters) to complete their chiropractic degree.
Upon completion of the Georgetown College portion of the dual degree program, students will:
- Demonstrate foundational science and health knowledge as needed for success in chiropractic care
Required Campbellsville Coursework: The Doctor of Chiropractic degree requires 10 trimesters.
Entering the Program: Any student planning to pursue this major should contact the Georgetown College Program Coordinator as soon as possible, preferably in their freshman year.
Admission to Campbellsville Traditionally, students begin their studies at Campbellsville University after 6 semesters at GC. To be eligible to apply, students must complete the CU chiropractic application, submit all post-secondary transcripts, submit 2 letters of recommendation (one from professor and one from professional in the field), and submit a personal statement. Students must have at least a 2.75 GPA with a 3.0 GPA or higher being preferred.
Dual degree students may choose one of the following options to participate in a Georgetown College commencement ceremony:
- Participate in the ceremony during the student’s final semester at GC
- Participate in the ceremony during the semester the student’s incoming class graduates
- Participate in the ceremony during the semester the student completes both CU and GC degrees
Students must notify the Georgetown College Office of the Registrar of their preferred option two semesters before leaving GC.
