Accounting Minor (ACC)

Accounting is the language of business and is a discipline that is needed by every organization. The minor offers the basic knowledge and understanding of financial and managerial accounting with a supporting skill set.

If your major is in a business-related field, then an accounting minor can give you a deeper understanding of how financial theories are used and applied and can be a valuable asset in your job search.

The accounting minor gives the non-accounting major a good understanding of basic accounting information and financial statements, which can prove vital to anyone involved in business activities related to ministry studies, pre-med, healthcare administration, and any other profession.

Thinking CPA? Students considering the CPA route are advised to speak with an accounting academic advisor about ways to meet CPA exam and licensure requirements.
