Biblical Studies Minor (BST)

The minor in Biblical Studies allows students to delve deeply into formal academic study of both the Old and New Testaments. Students use a variety of interpretive methods, analyze how historical contexts have shaped the production and reception of the texts, and evaluate how these texts intersect with lived experience across space and time. This minor prepares students for more effective leadership in Christian Ministry settings where interpretation of Christian scripture is highly relevant for the practice of Christian faith. It also prepares students for more successful study of biblical interpretation at the graduate level.
