At Georgetown College, we offer an Adult Online Program to allow students to complete a bachelor’s degree in any programs approved to be offered in a fully online modality and at a competitive rate.

Admissions Criteria
Prospective students who meet one of the following criteria may apply to be part of the Adult Online Program to complete their undergraduate degree:
- Is at least 24 years old at the time of matriculation and has earned at least 24 college credits at the time of matriculation
- Has graduated from a KCTCS institution with an Associate’s Degree and is at least 20 years old.
Students in the Adult Online Program will take all classes online. Students in the traditional program who meet the requirements for the Adult Online Program may apply for that program, but it is not possible to move back and forth between being a traditional student and the Adult Online Program, nor does admission to one guarantee admission to the other.
Students with an Associate’s Degree from a KCTCS school will be able to take advantage of block transfer of credits, meaning that all of the requirements of the Foundation and Core (General Education) program will be met with the exception of one religion course.
Additionally, any student transferring KCTCS credits should be aware that Georgetown College accepts a maximum of 66 credit hours from a KCTCS school.

Graduation Requirements
Like all institutions, Georgetown College has requirements which must be met before a degree can be awarded. Such requirements involve particular courses and curricula, majors and minors, course levels, and courses taken in residence. Any course taken at Georgetown College regardless of modality counts as in residence. Advisors and administrators are committed to helping students meet these requirements and to maintaining accounts of their progress. It is the responsibility of the student, however, to be acquainted with, make progress toward, and ultimately meet all degree requirements.
To graduate, Georgetown College, students in the Adult Online Completion Program must do the following:
- Complete requirements of the Foundations and Core Program with the exception of the following*:
- Only one Religion course is required
- No KHS 100 course is required
- No foreign language is required
- No W or C flags are required
- Complete at least one academic major, including passing a comprehensive exam or its equivalent
- Complete at least one academic minor, a second major, or a corollary major (unless completing an area or interdisciplinary major)
- Complete at least 120 credit hours, with at least 39 credit hours in courses numbered 300 or above
- Satisfy the residence requirement
Earn at least a 2.0 overall GPA by time of graduation.
*Students with an Associate’s Degree from a KCTCS school are only required to complete one Religion course to satisfy the Foundations and Core requirements.
Students are responsible for reading, understanding, and following all the policies regarding the completion of these requirements.
