About This Course

A study of chance phenomena and probability distributions, with applications to elementary descriptive and inferential statistics. Topics include probability laws and elementary combinatorics, random variables, discrete and continuous probability distributions, the Central Limit Theorem, and basic interval estimation and hypothesis testing.
